Денят на св. Патрик е далеч, но мен ме е обзела ирландска вълна. Покрай класът на Jameson, реших да отскоча да навестя бар Мasterpiece, тъй като ми беше направило приятно впечатление асортиментът им от 12-год. уискита на Jameson. Този хубавец от снимката е именно такъв, но по-особеното при него е, че се предлага по правило само в дестилерията /и в някои заведения, които са се сдобили с него/, т.е. в магазинната мрежа в България не може да бъде открит.

Определено Jameson 12 y.o. Distiller`s selection whiskey е течност, към която не бих могъл да бъда равнодушен. Може би силно изразения плодов нюанс, съчетан с пот стил уискито ме спечели и ако мога отново ще отделя време, за да се насладя на тази красива благинка. 🙂
Jameson 12 y.o. Distiller`s selection whiskey
St. Patrick’s Day is far away but I’m gripped by Irish mood. Alongside the class of Jameson I decided to stop by and visit bar Masterpiece, as I was left with a favorable impression by their assortment of Jameson’s 12-year-old whiskeys. That looker in the photo is precisely such, but what is more specific about it is that it is normally only available at the distillery itself /and in some bars, which have managed to acquire it/ i.e. it can’t be found in the retail network in Bulgaria.
I won’t describe you how I felt when I saw over 500 brands of whiskey against myself. It is understood, that I wanted to jump behind the bar, to grab 100-150 bottles and run away in an unknown direction. But get back on „Jameson“. The last 40 ml. were remained in the bottle, as if someone had kept them for me. I have no idea how long the bottle has been kept in the bar, neither who or how has brought it. These questions didn’t bother me, I do not think about them and now /although it would be nice if I can get such a bottle to share with family and friends/. I only knew that this Jameson obligatory goes into the little bottle and then will find its place on the pages of the blog. I don’t know how I restrained myself from tasting the sample in the bar. And not so much, because the whiskey inside could be the best in the world, but rather because of the emotion from sipping something rare and special which you have found on thousands of miles from its birthplace.
However, I managed to resist and a few days later the liquid got into my tasting glass. The aroma that spreaded while the pouring in the glass was very fresh and pleasant. I don’t dare to think how beautiful it was in the beginning of the lifetime of the liquid at the opening of the bottle. The most distinctive is the fruit note. Many fruits – apricots, plums, peaches, pears, later caught and grapes. Fresh, subsequently and dried. Appeared and sherry notes, slight spiciness, candy notes and the compulsory charm of the pot still whiskey, which I designate as „grassy“ notes /so many notes 🙂 /. Detectable is a dose of woody scent, caramel, fruit jam and sweetness. The taste is very mild, gentle, making the whiskey drinkable and delicious. Strongly fruity, slightly peppery, bitter and buttery, floral and kind of candy sweet. The finish was of medium length. Leaving the memory for cake and for the oak that has sheltered the drink, fruity again, buttery and relatively light sweetness.
Assessment: 89/100.
Jameson 12 y.o. Distiller`s selection whiskey is definitely a drink I couldn’t be indifferent to. Perhaps, what won me over was the strong fruity nuance combined with the pot still whiskey and if I get the chance I’ll enjoy this beautiful goody once again. 🙂
