Slainte, Paddy!
Hello to all leprechauns, unicorns and other bizarre creatures! Happy St. Patrick’s Day! The legend tells that Patrick comes from a wealthy family and subsequently discovered the path to Christianity. He is considered as a Baptist of Ireland and mortal enemy of the snakes on the island, which he banished forever from the green land.
To explain the meaning of the Holy Trinity to the pagans, he used a three-leaf shamrock, whose color has subsequently become a national symbol of Ireland. Besides as Saint Patrick, among the Irish he is also known as Paddy. On this occasion, I decided to diversify the unpleasant Monday with a brief review of the Irish whiskey „Paddy“.
„Paddy“ is a triple distilled blended Irish Whiskey, without presence of peat and matured in oak barrels for up to 7 years. The color is gold/ straw. I caught the expressive aroma of citrus and caramel. The taste is sweet, malty but it seemed to me too alcoholic. The aftertaste is medium long, buttered, with slightly pronounced sweetness that fades fairly quickly.
The price for 0.700 is around 25-28 lv. Assessment: 3,5 / 6.
